Model confidence (pLDDT)

The mean pLDDT of this model is 88.7 (confident overall). pLDDT is AlphaFold's per-residue confidence score from 0 to 100. In MolViewer, choose the B-factor color scheme to color the model by pLDDT, because AlphaFold stores it in the B-factor column.

pLDDT bandMeaningShare of residues
Above 90Very high: backbone and side chains are usually accurate75%
70 to 90Confident: backbone generally right11%
50 to 70Low: treat with caution2%
Below 50Very low: often disordered regions12%

What pLDDT means and how to read it

Function

Serine protease that initiates the alternative pathway of the complement system, a cascade of proteins that leads to phagocytosis and breakdown of pathogens and signaling that strengthens the adaptive immune system. In contrast to other complement pathways (classical, lectin and GZMK) that are directly activated by pathogens or antigen-antibody complexes, the alternative complement pathway is initiated by the spontaneous hydrolysis of complement C3. The alternative complement pathway acts as an amplification loop that enhances complement activation by mediating the formation of C3 and C5 convertases. Activated CFD cleaves factor B (CFB) when the latter is complexed with complement C3b,…
