Model confidence (pLDDT)

The mean pLDDT of this model is 85.9 (confident overall). pLDDT is AlphaFold's per-residue confidence score from 0 to 100. In MolViewer, choose the B-factor color scheme to color the model by pLDDT, because AlphaFold stores it in the B-factor column.

pLDDT bandMeaningShare of residues
Above 90Very high: backbone and side chains are usually accurate24%
70 to 90Confident: backbone generally right72%
50 to 70Low: treat with caution3%

Function

Omega-conotoxins act at presynaptic membranes, they bind and block voltage-gated calcium channels (Cav). This toxin preferentially blocks P/Q-type calcium channels (Cav2.1/CACNA1A) (IC(50)=0.60 nM) (PubMed:10938268, PubMed:1352986). Also shows an inhibition on Cav2.2/CACNA1A channels (IC(50)=7.0 nM) (PubMed:10938268)
