Model confidence (pLDDT)

The mean pLDDT of this model is 69.8 (low overall). pLDDT is AlphaFold's per-residue confidence score from 0 to 100. In MolViewer, choose the B-factor color scheme to color the model by pLDDT, because AlphaFold stores it in the B-factor column.

pLDDT bandMeaningShare of residues
Above 90Very high: backbone and side chains are usually accurate30%
70 to 90Confident: backbone generally right21%
50 to 70Low: treat with caution21%
Below 50Very low: often disordered regions27%

What pLDDT means and how to read it

Function

Coreceptor required for sonic hedgehog (SHH) handoff to its receptor: binds to the dually lipid-modified Sonic hedgehog protein N-product (ShhN) downstream of the CDON-BOC heterodimer and directly transfers ShhN to its patched receptor (PTCH1 or PTCH2), followed by activation of the smoothened signaling pathway (PubMed:35231446). Specifically recognizes and binds palmitate and cholesterol moieties in dually lipid-modified ShhN (PubMed:35231446). Binds 20(S)-hydroxycholesterol (20(S)-OHC) (By similarity). Acts as a growth arrest protein involved in growth suppression by blocking entry to S phase (PubMed:8127893)
