The mean pLDDT of this model is 85.6 (confident overall). pLDDT is AlphaFold's per-residue confidence score from 0 to 100. In MolViewer, choose the B-factor color scheme to color the model by pLDDT, because AlphaFold stores it in the B-factor column.
| pLDDT band | Meaning | Share of residues |
|---|---|---|
| Above 90 | Very high: backbone and side chains are usually accurate | 68% |
| 70 to 90 | Confident: backbone generally right | 18% |
| 50 to 70 | Low: treat with caution | 4% |
| Below 50 | Very low: often disordered regions | 11% |
What pLDDT means and how to read it
A cholesterol-dependent toxin that causes cytolysis by forming pores in cholesterol containing host membranes. After binding to target membranes, the protein undergoes a major conformation change, leading to its insertion in the host membrane and formation of an oligomeric pore complex. Cholesterol is required for binding to host membranes, membrane insertion and pore formation; cholesterol binding is mediated by a Thr-Leu pair in the C-terminus. Can be reversibly inactivated by oxidation
Secreted, Host cell membrane
