The mean pLDDT of this model is 93.6 (very high overall). pLDDT is AlphaFold's per-residue confidence score from 0 to 100. In MolViewer, choose the B-factor color scheme to color the model by pLDDT, because AlphaFold stores it in the B-factor column.
| pLDDT band | Meaning | Share of residues |
|---|---|---|
| Above 90 | Very high: backbone and side chains are usually accurate | 92% |
| 70 to 90 | Confident: backbone generally right | 0% |
| 50 to 70 | Low: treat with caution | 2% |
| Below 50 | Very low: often disordered regions | 6% |
What pLDDT means and how to read it
In the mammalian host activates (cleaves) plasminogen to generate the serine protease plasmin. Plasmin degrades fibrin clots (fibrinolysis) and facilitates bacterial cell migration, enabling rapid dissemination of bacteria from the initial site of infection (Probable). Cleaves host plasminogen to generate plasmin and probably also has autocatalytic activity (PubMed:20637417, PubMed:22645135). Fibrinolytic activity prevails at 37 degrees Celsius whereas coagulase expression predominates at lower temperatures (28 degrees Celsius) (PubMed:2526282). Cleaves plasminogen; plasminogen cleavage is much higher than coagulase activity (PubMed:20637417, PubMed:22645135, PubMed:2526282, PubMed:2651310)
