Model confidence (pLDDT)

The mean pLDDT of this model is 85.2 (confident overall). pLDDT is AlphaFold's per-residue confidence score from 0 to 100. In MolViewer, choose the B-factor color scheme to color the model by pLDDT, because AlphaFold stores it in the B-factor column.

pLDDT bandMeaningShare of residues
Above 90Very high: backbone and side chains are usually accurate64%
70 to 90Confident: backbone generally right16%
50 to 70Low: treat with caution6%
Below 50Very low: often disordered regions14%

Function

The small GTPases Rab are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes (PubMed:25962623). Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different sets of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion (PubMed:25962623). RAB6A acts as a regulator of COPI-independent retrograde transport from the Golgi apparatus towards the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) (PubMed:25962623). Has a low GTPase activity (PubMed:25962623). Recruits VPS13B to the Golgi membrane (PubMed:25492866). Plays a role in neuron…

Subunit structure

Interacts (GTP-bound) with DYNLRB1; the interaction is direct (PubMed:18044744). Interacts with BICD1 (PubMed:12447383). Interacts with BICD2; the interaction is direct (PubMed:12447383, PubMed:20386726, PubMed:23664119, PubMed:25962623). Interacts (GTP-bound) with VPS13B (PubMed:25492866)
